Inositol for PCOS: What Trials Show About Cycles and Insulin

Dark card titled Inositol for PCOS with the number 1.79 and the caption times as likely to have regular cycles versus placebo, from the Healthamu hormone balance guide.

Inositol for PCOS has some trial support. In a review of 26 trials, people taking it were 1.79 times as likely as those on placebo to have regular cycles, and insulin resistance dropped a little. The 2023 international guideline still rates the evidence very low, backs no specific dose or form, and prefers metformin for hair growth and waist size.
