Editorial Policy

This page explains the rules Healthamu follows when we research, write, edit and update content. It applies to every review, guide and comparison on the site.

Who is responsible for content

Lucie Bricks, our Reviews Editor, researches, edits and approves every page before it is published. Lucie is not a doctor, dietitian, nurse or pharmacist, so our content does not offer diagnosis or treatment advice. When a topic calls for a clinical opinion, we say so and point readers to a qualified professional.

What counts as a source

Facts in our reviews must come from a source a reader can check. In order of preference, we use:

  • Fact sheets and research summaries from government health bodies, such as the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements, NCCIH and the FDA.
  • Human clinical trials, systematic reviews and meta-analyses in peer-reviewed journals.
  • The product’s own label, official website, refund policy and checkout pages, for facts about the product itself.

We do not treat sales videos, customer testimonials, influencer posts or press releases as evidence that an ingredient works. When we describe what a seller claims, we make clear it is the seller’s claim.

Use of AI tools

Drafts on Healthamu may be AI-assisted. We may use AI tools to help outline a page, summarize a long document or suggest plain wording. AI output is never published as it comes out of the tool. Every fact is checked against the cited sources, and every page is edited by Lucie before publishing. If a statement cannot be traced to a source, it is removed. Responsibility for what we publish stays with Healthamu, not with any tool.

Independence from advertisers and sellers

Healthamu earns commissions through affiliate links. That income does not buy a better review. We do not accept payment for a positive write-up, we do not let sellers approve reviews before they go live, and we publish cons for every product, including products that pay us. Our Affiliate Disclosure explains how the links work.

No scores or ratings

We do not publish scores, star ratings or numbers out of ten. Each review ends with pros, cons and who the product may suit. We think this gives a more honest picture than a single number.

Claims we will not make

  • That a supplement cures, treats or prevents a disease.
  • That we personally tested a product or ran lab tests on it.
  • That results are guaranteed or typical for everyone.

Dates and updates

Each review shows when it was last updated. We revisit reviews when prices, formulas, refund terms or the research change, and on a regular review cycle. Small fixes such as typos may be made without a note. Changes to facts, safety information or costs are noted on the page.

Corrections

If you find an error, email contact@healthamu.com with the page link and the source that shows the correct information. We check every report, and when we confirm a mistake we fix it and note the correction on the page.
